About me
Hi there! I’m Chloe.
Although I have always loved birds, it wasn’t until I was 9 that i found a love for chickens. As a family we have always had a few laying hens, so I have had lots of experience with chickens. My first purebred birds where a pair mottled pekin hens that I got for my 10th birthday.
I started showing chickens at the age of 12, and have won numerous prizes notably best junior exhibit time and time again. I will be sitting my judges exam in 2026 and am hoping to become one of NZ’s youngest poultry show judges.
I am currently breeding brassy back pekins for showing, and I am in the process of developing my own breed of laying chickens which I call the New Zealand Forager Fowl. I also have a strain of specially bred meat chickens which are descendants of multiple breeds and would be considered a land race that I am working on in hopes to release some breeding stock to the public soon.
